Lori Caputo-Hartford
Lori Caputo-Hartford was born on April 26, 1968, in West Islip, New York. Growing up in a vibrant community, her life wasn't easy. Growing up in the 70's-80's, when learning disabilities were not widely known, Lori struggled with undiagnosed ADHD and severe Dyslexia. In addition, she had to navigate through her childhood with an abusive father who verbally and emotionally attacked her over her struggles with learning. As an escape from her life, she resorted to writing stories, most of which have intertwined aspects of her life struggles.
Although she struggled as a youth, she was finally diagnosed at the age of 24 after embracing her disabilities and overcoming them. She was then able to earn her high school diploma and go on to earn multiple degrees in different areas of education. It was then that Lori developed a passion for learning and creativity. She pursued her higher education at the University at Buffalo, where she honed her skills and laid the foundation for her successful career.
Lori has established herself as a talented accountant and data analyst, utilizing her analytical skills to navigate the complexities of finance and business. In addition to her work in accounting, she is also a gifted writer, expressing her thoughts and ideas through the written word. Her writing reflects her diverse interests and experiences, allowing her to connect with others and share her unique perspective.
In her free time, Lori enjoys immersing herself in the world of video games, a hobby that fuels her creativity and provides a fun escape. She enjoys the moments spent with her granddaughter, Layla, creating cherished memories and passing on her love for storytelling and play. She has dedicated an entire series to Layla creating stories revolving around Layla and her dog Macho, a black and white Mini Schnauzer.
As a proud mother of four, three boys, Raymond, Michael, and Nicholas, and one girl, Samantha, Lori values family above all else. Her children are a source of joy and inspiration in her life, and she takes great pride in supporting and nurturing their endeavors.
Lori Caputo-Hartford continues to balance her professional pursuits with her passions, embodying a spirit of creativity, love, and dedication in everything she does.
On September 28, 2024, Lori's eldest son, Raymond, passed away at the age of 34. May he rest in Peace. This devastation has fueled her to once again use writing as an outlet.
